When Christians were banned from meeting and praying together the "Jesus Fish" became a secret symbol allowing them to identify other Christians. If a Christian met a stranger in the road, he drew one arc of the simple fish. If the stranger drew the other they knew they were in good company. Lapel pin comes standard with a military clutch back.
